Lisa studied Vocal
Performance at Kent State University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in
Strategic Communication from Miami University. She has been directing
theatre and vocal coaching since 2003. Lisa currently coaches nearly 40
voice students a week at her home studio in Canton. Lisa has taught
musical theatre classes in various schools throughout Stark and
Tuscarawas counties since 2006, as well as the Players Guild Theatre and
Holy Cross Catholic Schools. She has been a teaching artist for the
ArtsinStark SmARTs program for two years. Lisa has directed productions
for New Direction Performing Arts Academy, Players Guild Theatre,
Stardust Dinner Theatre at Meyers Lake Ballroom, the Arts Academy at
Summit, St. Paul Catholic School, North Canton Playhouse, and Stage Left
at Miami University. Directing credits include Lion King Jr., Shrek
Jr., Hairspray Jr., Annie Jr., Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella,
Footloose, Aladdin Kids, Willy Wonka Kids, Winnie the Pooh, Seussical
Jr., 101 Dalmatian Kids, It’s a Wonderful Life and the Glee Workshop. She has directed the St. Paul Showstoppers show choir at St. Paul School since 2014 and recently assumed the position of Marketing & Events Assistant for ArtsinStark. Lisa lives in Perry Township with her husband Sean, son Jude, and poodle, Molly.
Taylor Marie Scott
Taylor is a communications major at Kent State University and has been active in theater since she was 5. Not only appearing onstage, Taylor has found her passion behind the scenes teaching and impacting students' lives through the arts. Taylor has also been seen on many local stages as well, recently as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde and Belle in A Christmas Carol. Miss Taylor has been teaching for the last four years and various classes include Tiny Tot Theater, Kinderdrama, and various after-school drama club programs. During the summer, Taylor has spent the last 3 years as a staff member for youth summer camp productions with New Directions Performing Arts Academy directed by Carrie Spina and Lisa Knight. Taylor also has been involved with the musical productions at St Paul's. This fall, Taylor is thrilled to be teaching in the Holy Cross Academy Drama Club program at the Catholic schools in Stark County. When she's not teaching, Taylor runs a "Princess Party" business and visits children's parties and charitable events such as the "Snow Sisters". Taylor enjoys sharing her love for the arts and meeting such incredibly talented and wonderful kids!
Allyson serves as the Holy Cross Catholic Schools Band Director and Show Choir, as well as the Music Teacher for St. Louis Catholic School. Mrs. DePanicis is a 2010 graduate of Mount Union College, where she earned a Bachelor of Music degree with concentrations in collaborative piano and piano performance. During her time at Mount, she was heavily involved in several bands and ensembles, which led her to discover a passion for teaching and writing music. She is currently pursuing a Master of Music Composition degree at Youngstown State University's Dana School of Music. In recent years, Ally has taught several music classes and workshops at local schools, including St. Louis Catholic School in Louisville and Regina Coeli Catholic School. She has worked with youth in theatre productions at Salem Community Theatre, where she has stage managed and directed music for six shows in the last three years, as well as Sebring McKinley High School, where she worked as musical director for two years. Ally also serves as an adjudicator every spring for the Youngstown Music Teachers' Association. In addition, she operates her own music studio in Alliance where she has approximately thirty students.
