Crusader Soccer secures victories on Future Crusader Night

On Saturday, both Boys & Girls Crusader Soccer celebrated wins against St. Thomas Aquinas!

It was Senior Night, for the Lady Crusaders who secured a 5-1 home victory. Ellie Buckler led the charge, scoring four of the Crusaders goals. The defense was exceptional, limiting STA to just one shot. Senior Emily Schmidt scored her first career goal with an assist from her sister, Sarah Schmidt. The ladies, now 4-2, will play at home tomorrow, Tuesday, against River View at 5 pm.

The Boys Team defeated STA 5-0. Bryce Stalnaker and Jeiso Inestroza each had a goal and assist. Chase Cutcher, Vince Pena, and Adam Frech also scored. Emerson Schiger and Mark Parham each played goalkeeper to earn the second shutout of the season. Their next home game is tomorrow, Tuesday,  at 7 pm against McKinley.

Their victories were that much sweeter because it was Future Crusader Night, both teams came together to offer elementary schools free admission and Crusader give-aways. What a night!

Way to go, Cru! Keep it up!
