School Choice Ohio announced that 160,854 scholarship applications were submitted in 2023-2024 for school choice in Ohio! As of September, 155,394 scholarships were awarded for the 2024-2025. That September data puts Ohio on track for a significant increase from last school year.
The EdChoice organization shares, "The recent growth of states enacting universal or near-universal choice programs has not occurred at random. Public and parent support for choice programs...is consistent and strong. For instance, more than 67% of Americans support ESAs and school vouchers... We’ve observed similar levels of support for these policies since 2019."
Families want to be empowered to choose the school environment that works best for their family.
Here at Central Catholic, we have worked hard to ensure that any family who wants a Catholic education can afford it.
We accept state-funded scholarships, the EdChoice and EdChoice Expansion Scholarships. Those scholarships are now universal; which means every family can apply for and can receive a $840-$8400 award, based on their household income or place of residence.
Crusader families benefit from the funds donated to Scholarship Granting Organizations (SGO), a program regulated by the state of Ohio. CCHS works with Every Child, Every Family and the Good Samaritan Fund, two funds that accept donations for scholarships and in turn allow donors to Central Catholic to utilize a state tax credit.
In addition to those state-sponsored funding options, Central Catholic awards a million dollars in school-funded scholarships, grants, discounts, and tuition assistance each year. 100% of Central Catholic families explore funding options, scholarship programs, tuition assistance, or discounts to make a Crusader education possible.
