Social Studies enjoys special field trip experience

One benefit of small class sizes is the ability to learn in a variety of unique ways, including learning that extends far beyond the classroom.

That is especially true for our Social Studies classes. We believe it helps students better retain what they’ve learned and teaches them civic engagement in a way that encourages them to participate long into the future.

Students from the AP Government class & the Criminal Justice class recently enjoyed some special field trips. They visited the Federal U.S. Bankruptcy Court where they had the opportunity to meet and speak with the first African American female Chief Judge, Jessica Price Smith. They also received a special tour of the Stark County Jail.

What a great experience!
