Louisville, Ohio – August 6, 2024 - Jessica Emerick, a dedicated educator and proven leader, has been appointed as the new Middle School Dean of Students at Saint Thomas Aquinas (STA). With a strong commitment to student success and a passion for fostering a supportive learning environment, Emerick brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to this vital role.
A graduate of Malone University with a Bachelor of Arts in Middle Childhood Education and the University of Cincinnati, where she earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership with distinguished honors, Emerick has been an integral part of the STA community for the past five years. As both a Middle School and High School teacher, she consistently demonstrated a dedication to going above and beyond for her students and the school. Her exceptional teaching has been recognized with multiple Teacher of the Month honors featured in The Repository.
Beyond the classroom, Emerick has been actively involved in various extracurricular activities, serving as a Middle School Volleyball Coach, Academic Challenge Coach, and Middle School Genius Project Coach. Under her guidance, the STA Genius Project team achieved remarkable success, placing in the top 20 finalists in the Arts In Stark Genius Competition out of 76 teams from six counties. Her dedication to enhancing the school environment is further evidenced by her recent project to create a vibrant Middle School Art room with hand-painted cabinets.
As the new Middle School Dean of Students, Emerick will play a crucial role in supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional growth. She is committed to building strong relationships with students, faculty, and parents to create a positive and inclusive school culture.
