Thanksgiving Break

Thanksgiving Break Schedule Change

We were just informed that some of our local school districts are having a difficult time scheduling busing around the Thanksgiving holiday due to bus driver shortages, some will not be able to provide transportation. Almost all Stark County Catholic Schools have had to make adjustments. As a result, we must adjust our Thanksgiving break schedule, as well.

Tuesday, November 23: At-Home Remote Learning Day (Utilizing the Asynchronous Learning Plan)
Wednesday, November 24: NO SCHOOL (Conference Exchange Day)
Thursday, November 25-Sunday, November 28: NO SCHOOL (Thanksgiving Break)
Monday, November 29: At-Home Remote Learning Day (Utilizing the Asynchronous Learning Plan)
Tuesday, November 30: Return to In-Person Classes

Tuesday, Nov. 23 and Monday, Nov. 29 will be remote days. Please note that BOTH of those days are considered school days and students must be online doing classwork. If a student is ill or unable to attend, families must still call their student in as absent. Teachers will work with students over the next few days, before Thanksgiving break, to ensure that students understand expectations.

In the beginning of the school year, St. Thomas Aquinas shared with families our plan for distance learning. In those plans, we made clear that distance learning days may be used in lieu of traditional weather cancelation days or unexpected days off, not just for COVID-related closures. The plan for these days can be found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/10ogcO7KH-fdzSSbHaMJxn-jJ5bsmOTj-CZhYQYMD9fE/edit?usp=sharing ,

All students that participate in sports or other activities will receive directions from their coach/moderator about practices/games/meetings about remote learning days.

We apologize for the late notice.  Please contact us if you have any questions.
