St. Barbara School Participates in "Father's Walk Your Child to School" Day

Today, Thursday, September 16, St. Barbara School participated in "Father's Walk Your Child to School" day. We loved seeing all of our students' smiling, proud faces as their fathers, grandfathers, or father-figure walked them into school today! Special thanks to the Fatherhood Coalition who sent volunteers this morning, who passed out surprises to dads and their children.

"Father's Walk Your Child to School" day is a nationwide event that takes place across the country during the month of September. Rob Peirson, deputy director of child support for Stark County Job & Family Services said that when a father, or father figure, is involved in a child's life by providing emotional and even financial support the child is going to have a better life. We are proud to participate in this great event and equally proud that St. Barbara School has so many active and engaged fathers (and moms, too)!
