Central Catholic is pleased to announce that another Crusader alumni is returning to their halls in a professional role. Mrs. Nicole Singer has been selected to serve her alma mater as Assistant Principal.
She will be succeeding another Central Catholic alumna, Noelle Waltenbaugh, who has decided to transition from assistant principal to guidance counselor for the Crusaders. Singer was brought up in the Catholic school tradition from kindergarten through collegiate years, is a 2004 graduate of Central Catholic, and has dedicated her career to education.
Singer has been a teacher with the Massillon City School District since 2011. She was the Social Studies Department Head where she taught one of the highest-scoring subject areas in Massillon City for the American History AIR test. She was the 2021 Massillon Washington High School Teacher of the Year.
She received her Masters of Arts Education Administration Degree and Ohio Principal's License from the University of Akron and her Bachelors of Arts in Integrated Social Studies Education and History from Walsh University.
Nicole and her husband Adam, who is also a 2004 Central Catholic graduate, reside in Massillon with their three children who attend St. Mary Catholic Elementary School. They are members of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Massillon.
Singer shares that she is excited and feels blessed to be welcomed back to Central Catholic. “As an alumna of St. Mary, Central Catholic, and Walsh University, I know the value of Catholic education and high standards to which their students are held. I am excited to carry on the strong tradition of educating and guiding students in a faith-centered atmosphere that strives for excellence in academics, service-learning, and leadership.”
