You will be receiving lots of emails from me, as well as your teachers, in the next few weeks in our continual efforts to communicate and share the latest information we have with our families. Please take the time to read everything.
One thing I want to address is serving the needs of any of our students who rely upon the school for their breakfast and lunch meals each weekday. There are a number of ways our community is coming together to help with that need. First, I want to inform you that Alliance City has applied to the Ohio Department of Education to help serve lunches during this time. They applied for the grant on behalf of Regina Coeli as well. It will be a grab and go lunch bag and possibly breakfast as well, we are awaiting those details. They are not sure which school will be open for grab and go lunch bag pickup, or if all of them will be, we will let our families know once that has been determined. This is for Alliance people only. I have not heard if Marlington is doing the same. In addition, if there is any family in need of canned foods to help feed your children during this time, Regina Coeli School is here to be a resource to you. We will be able to help on Friday, March 13th after school from 3:00 pm-3:30 pm and Monday, March 16th from 9:00 am-noon. Please bring two grocery bags and we will fill it with canned goods to help during this time. Please let us know if we can help you in this way, feel free to email me at [email protected]
or call the school office at (330) 823-9239.
In everything we do, the safety and wellbeing of our students and staff is our top concern. As you know, under the order of Governor DeWine, all schools in the State of Ohio have been ordered to close for a period of time in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We will be closed Monday, March 16 through Sunday, April 5 and plan to resume classes on Monday, April 6. We will do our best to communicate with you often.
