Responding to Coronavirus School Closure

Dear families,

Under the order of Governor DeWine, the Ohio Department of Health, and the Diocese of Youngstown, St. Mary is closed. The safety and health of our students is our top priority, as such the St. Mary’s administration closed our school at the end of school day on Friday, March 13. All school events, including athletics have been postponed, we will contact families with information on postponed events. We hope the steps we are all taking, taken in solidarity for the health of our community, will help flatten the curve of those impacted by the Coronavirus. At this time, we hope to resume classes on Monday, May 4. Until then, we will do our very best to communicate with our families as information is made available to us.  Please stay safe! We will keep all of our families in our prayers.

Office Hours
St. Mary School’s office is open Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We do have plans to be in the building to check messages and mail. At-Home Learning during the Coronavirus
Beginning Monday, March 16, we began online schooling. Students should refer to the resources provided by their teachers for their school assignments. All students were instructed to take their books home. Many of our students have received paper packets to work from during our closure. If they are missing materials, families can make arrangements to come to school and pick-up those items. Students are encouraged to contact their teachers with any questions, all of our staff is working from home through our closure and are here to help. Our communication will be ongoing.

Join us in Prayer
Please join us in prayer for all those affected by the Coronavirus. We will continue to keep our students, staff, Bear family, the community-at-large, our state, and our nation in our prayers.
