Regina Coeli Welcomes New Teachers

Regina Coeli Families,

We are looking forward to starting our new school year in August! We are excited to welcome our new RC family members, Miss Snyder and Mrs. Whan. Miss Snyder will be our new third-grade teacher, and Mrs. Whan will be our new fourth-grade teacher! We would also like to send a huge 'Thank You' to Mrs. Palazzo and Mrs. Alexsonshk for all they have done for our school. Please keep each of them in your prayers as they continue to follow their calling!

Please read the following notes from our new teachers:

My name is Miss Snyder and I am so excited to be a part of the staff at Regina Coeli!

I am thrilled to be the incoming third-grade teacher this year! It is going to be a fun year full of learning and new adventures! I wanted to share a few things about me! I grew up in Louisville, Ohio, not too far from Regina Coeli. I attended the University of Mount Union right here in Alliance! I graduated from Mount Union this past spring of 2021 and majored in Early Childhood Education. I have always dreamed of being a teacher and am so excited to start this new chapter with you!

Outside of school, I love to spend time with my family and pets! One of our favorite things to do as a family is travel. We love the beach but Walt Disney World is our favorite place to go. I also enjoy reading, shopping, and coaching cheerleading for Mount Union in my free time!

A few of my favorite things:
Color: Pink                                                                Season: Fall
Food: Tacos                                                              Drink: Coffee and tea
Favorite Sport: Cheerleading and Football               Animal: Cats

I hope you were able to learn a little about me as I can’t wait to spend the year
growing and learning with you!

Sincerely,
Miss Ryley Snyder

My name is Mrs. Theresa Whan and I’m very excited to be the new 4th-grade teacher at Regina Coeli. I am a graduate of Indian Creek High School in Wintersville, Ohio, and a graduate of Ohio University with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. I have completed an endorsement program at Walsh University which allows me to teach grades 4 and 5 as well.

While I am originally from the Ohio Valley, my family has lived in Alliance since 2016. My family includes my husband, Josh, my two children, Clara and Nick, and my stepsons Josh Jr. and Skylar. We are parishioners at Regina Coeli and three of my children have attended Regina Coeli School. My youngest son will be in third grade at Regina Coeli this year.

I have two years of teaching experience at the former St. Francis Central school in Toronto, Ohio. I’ve also previously owned and operated a childcare business in Alliance. I am looking forward to getting back in the classroom and getting to know my students this year!

Please read the following notes from Mrs. Palazzo and Mrs. Alexsonshk:

It is with great sadness that I'm letting you know that I've decided to leave Regina Coeli School. I've been given a third-grade teaching position at SCOPE Academy, which is very close to my house. It was a very hard decision to leave this amazing school. I have been teaching here for 12 years now. During this time I have had the pleasure and privilege of watching the students grow and develop and reach many milestones. A lot of those students I am lucky enough to still see today and have watched them grow into young adults. I feel I am extremely lucky to have worked for such a long period of my teaching career in Alliance.

My last day at Regina Coeli School will be July 29, 2021. A big thank you to all the families and staff past and present that have supported me. It has been an honor getting to know you all and I'm going to miss you very much.

Remember to keep God in your heart, and always believe in yourself.

Kind Regards,

Peggy Palazzo

I wanted to inform you that I have taken a new position at St. Barbara School and will no longer be teaching at Regina Coeli. I am so thankful and grateful for my experiences at RCCS these past 5 years and I will miss all of the students and families. I know that the staff of RCCS will continue their mission to deliver quality education in a faith-filled atmosphere.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer and I wish the students the best of luck in the new school year.

- Mrs. Alexsonshk
