Canton Repository Teacher of the Month Nominees (October)- Boggs & Lenox

Congratulations to our October Stark County Catholic Schools Teachers of the Month who were recognized by the Canton Repository, Rachel Boggs and Chelsea Lenox!

St. Thomas Aquinas High School: Rachel Boggs, High School Science
Rachel Boggs teaches science at St. Thomas Aquinas, she has become an important part of the school’s distinguished science department, where students post some of the highest test scores in the county and out-rank state and national averages. Mrs. Boggs is a knowledgeable educator who offers students a depth of knowledge, and she continually finds different ways to engage students in the material to maximize their learning. She also takes the time to get to know students personally and can often be found in conversation with students or attending Aquinas athletic events to cheer on the Knights. While Mrs. Boggs has only been at Aquinas a few years, it seems as if she’s been part of the Knight family for decades.

St. Thomas Aquinas Middle School: Chelsea Lenox, Middle School Math, and Science
Chelsea Lenox has been teaching at St. Thomas Aquinas Middle School since Aquinas opened their doors to grades 6-8 in 2014, teaching math and social studies. Her leadership has been instrumental in creating an effective learning environment for middle school students. Perhaps more important is that students and faculty alike feel welcomed by Mrs. Lenox, who can always find a positive word for everyone she meets and who makes her students feel as if STA is a home away from home, all while maintaining excellent class management. No matter what is happening around her, especially in recent years as we faced a pandemic, she has never steered away from her calling to teach and give 110% to her students.
