We want to thank the Crusader family and community at large for the outpouring of love, support, and strength in prayer that has been offered for Jacob Brown, his family and friends, and the Crusader community. Jacob, his mother Megan, his father James III, and his brother James IV (Class of 2022) are and will always remain a beloved part of our Crusader family.
Given the impact Jacob and the Brown family continue to have on Central Catholic, one way we hope to remember him is by the creation of the Jacob T. Brown Memorial Fund. This fund will help us create a perpetual scholarship program, in his name, that will help offset tuition costs for deserving Central Catholic students for years to come.
The Browns have been strong supporters of Catholic education. Jake demonstrated the best traits of a Crusader. He was kind, faithful, served others with a smile, and was dedicated to doing his best both inside and outside of the classroom while keeping things lighthearted. Jacob put God and his family first and brightened any room he entered. We continue to be proud that Jake will always be a Crusader.
It has been a difficult week for our community, but our students and staff have leaned on one another, celebrated Jacob’s life together, and relied on their faith to help them as they grieve and heal. We hope that the Jacob T. Memorial Fund will help keep Jacob’s memory alive long into the future.
