Crusaders mark the Advent Season

Crusaders mark the Advent Season

The Advent Season is underway. We have been observing Advent in a variety of ways. On November 30th, we had Advent Reconciliation for any student interested in confession. Special thanks to Father King, Father Cline, Father Bishop, Father Benson, and Father Clarke for spending part of their day at Central Catholic hearing confessions. Our Campus Minister Deacon Randy Smith was also on-hand to talk to any student of any faith. Over the next few weeks, we will be doing a collection for Storm Relief for Catholic Relief Services in our theology classes and during lunch. We will also have an All-School liturgy, host our annual Advent Lessons & Carols, and many of our classes will note the Advent Season in their own unique ways. Plus our campus ministry team and student representatives are visiting our elementary partner schools to present “Will it be a GRINCHmas or a CHRISTmas” discussion.

Advent is a busy time but a meaningful one as we engage students in their faith journey and wait together in hope and anticipation of the joy that comes on Christmas Day.
