An update on Father Kaylor

An update on Father Kaylor

All of us at Central Catholic think and speak of Father Kaylor often. If you are new to the Crusaders, Father Robert Kaylor is a 1962 Crusader graduate who spent decades serving the Crusader community as a teacher, principal, and president, as well as serving the community at large. He continues to be the true spirit of the Crusaders and embodies Crusader pride! We recently read an update about him which we asked to share with all of you.

From his family:

“Father Bob asked that we send along his belated Christmas greetings to all of you.

We (Rich & April Kaylor) arrived yesterday (Dec. 28) to celebrate the Christmas holiday with Bob. Rob, Lauren, and Claire (his great niece) joined us this visit. Claire helped Great “Uncle Bobbie” (as she calls him) open his presents. We brought his favorite cut-out cookies and Claire managed to talk him out of a couple. It’s hard to contain a near 17th-month-old, but he let her ride around in his new wheelchair and that did the trick. He enjoyed meeting sweet Claire. We’ve attached a couple of photos of their visit. The picture we missed capturing was Claire giving Bob a hug before she left. As you can imagine, that made him smile!

Father Bob appreciates all of the Christmas cards and well wishes he received. Since his hospitalization in August, his health has improved, however, his speech is still weak.

On behalf of Bob (and us), we are sending all of you and your families the warmest thoughts and best/safe wishes for a Blessed and Happy New Year.

Rich and April Kaylor”
