Central Catholic boys golf team has record-setting day at sectional

It was a record-setting day for Central Catholic during Tuesday's Division III boys golf sectional tournament at Salem Hills.The Crusaders shot an 18-hole school record 280 to easily win the team title and a spot in next week's district at Tannenhauf. The 8-under par score gave Central a 33-shot advantage over runner-up Mogadore.

Kyle Freudeman fired a school-record 7-under 65 to lead the Crusaders and earn medalist honors. Teammate Charlie Belden was right behind him at 66. Alex Milavickas shot 71 and Gavin Shamblen finished at 78.

Lake Center Christian's Nathan Capeta and Thomas Fulk were among the three individual district qualifiers. Both shot 81s to finish tied for 10th.
