St. Michael Alumni Running For Success

Congratulations to the St. Michael alumni who are having very successful cross country seasons with the Central Catholic Crusaders. If you follow the local news, you know that Crusader Cross Country is having a great year. They started the year with back-to-back wins at the Claymont XCEarly Bird Invitational and the Ashley White Invitational. Then they won the CCHS meet with Barrett Scheatzle and Alyssa Mattis placing 1st. The Boys Team won the Division III Race at the Boardman Invitational. At the Catholic School Invite, the Boys Team finished 4th and Scheatzle set a new school record!

Scheatlze was also named the Canton Repository's Runner of the Week, an honor he also received last year. The team was also featured in the Mile Split with a great story about the team's history of success. At the D2-D3 Stark County Cross Country Championship Meet, the CCHS Cross Country Boys’ Team finished 3rd and the Girls’ Team finished 4th!

Top finishers for the Crusaders who were also St.Michael Vikings were Barrett Scheatzle, Alyssa Mattis, Caroline Johnston, Isabelle Olivieri, and Lauren Halas. Great job, Crusaders!
