A Message from Mrs. Prosise

Dear Parish Family,

For the last 25+ years, our parish has had a mission group going to Kentucky. The group has specifically gone to Beattyville in Lee County. This is the 3rd poorest county in the country. The median household income of
Lee County is $25,257 compared to $53,860 in Stark County. The average income is just over $14,000 a year. Why am I telling you this? On March 1, Beattyville was struck with the worst flooding in its history.

We have been in contact with Fr. John Lijana ( from Medina Ohio) pastor of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. This is the church we stay at during the week of our mission trip. He is coordinating some of the efforts in the community to help those devastated by the flooding.

We have been asked to donate beds/ mattresses/ box springs.

Twin bed frame to queen frame range in price from $74 to $160
Twin Mattress to queen mattress range in price from $79.99 to $199.00

We are asking for donations to purchase beds for the families. You may donate through a link at https://spjcanalfulton.weshareonline.org/  (for the Kentucky Flood victims) or you can send a check to SS. Philip and James and in the memo line place the word BED.

Please consider whatever you can afford. Please help us to make the lives of our Kentucky family better.

Thank you for your consideration!
