SPJ Student Council supports Cross Catholic Outreach’s Box of Joy campaign

SPJ Student Council supports Cross Catholic Outreach’s Box of Joy campaign

Service is an important part of the SS. Philip and James experience, especially during the Christmas season. Our small class sizes and close-knit community allow for unique opportunities for us to come together in both faith and service. We are proud to have our own student council, who give up their time to find ways to make our school a stronger community and to serve the larger community. Recently, they came together to help families have a merrier Christmas. Student council took a local shopping trip and each student filled a box with gifts and goodies for a gender/age of their choosing. The gifts will be donated to those in extreme poverty worldwide in support of Cross Catholic Outreach’s Box of Joy campaign. Student Council also made our school days a bit merrier when they delivered supplies for cookie decorating and hot cocoa to our classrooms for a little Christmas cheer before the break. As always, our school leaders demonstrate ways to keep Christ in Christmas! #TheSPJWay.
