St. Thomas Aquinas announces new head football coach

St. Thomas Aquinas High School is pleased to announce their selection of Troy Burick to serve as the next head coach for the Aquinas Football Program.

Burick served as an assistant coach for Central Catholic during the Crusader’s Division V State Championship season in 2016. He has coached for Massillon City Schools for more than 15 years in a variety of coaching roles, serving as an assistant high school coach, head freshmen coach, head coach of the junior high program, and head coach of the 8th-grade football program.

Burick shares that he plans to “build a program based on strong character, integrity, discipline, and hard work which will lead to success in the classroom, community and on the field. Teams should have a family-like atmosphere and stress the importance of teamwork and being part of something bigger than ourselves.”

President for Stark County Catholic Schools, Dan Gravo, states, “we’re excited to welcome Coach Burick to our Aquinas family. He is an innovative, passionate, and determined coach, with a wealth of experience. We believe his leadership will strengthen our football program.”
