Mrs. Elkins is a third-grade classroom teacher, focusing on reading/language arts, and science. She holds a B.A. in Early Childhood Education with a reading endorsement from Marietta College. Before starting at St. Paul's in 2011, she previously taught third grade at Lummis Elementary in Las Vegas, NV, and additionally, was the Title I Reading tutor at Minerva Elementary.

Her favorite part of her job is witnessing the "got it" moment after a student has been struggling with something. She feels the best part about St. Paul's is that we all work together to do what is best for the students. She and her husband and 2 children reside in Minerva and are members of St. James' Church in Waynesburg. They love to spend time together outside going on hikes and swimming. 

She is a published author of the children's book Max's Great Big World. She plans to continue to write and publish many more children's books in the future.
