24 Days of Giving

Again in 2023, we are hosting 24 Days of Giving!

From December 1 - December 24 we will share 24 reasons to support Central Catholic and be #CrusaderProud! There has never been a better time to be part of #CrusaderNation. As we prepare for the holidays, please consider a gift to Central Catholic, we can show you 24 ways (more, really) your gift will make a difference.

How it works:
Donate ANY amount by December 24th. No gift is too small when it comes from the heart.
Anyone who gives $25 and above, will receive an ornament with your name/your family's name on the back.

Supporters can decide where their money goes:
First option: The Crusader Challenge, our Annual Fund which supports student scholarships and campus improvements.
Crusader Challenge Donors who give $25/more to our Crusader Challenge will receive our CCHS 2023 Ornament.

Second option: The Fr. Robert Kaylor Memorial Fund, a fund created to honor the legacy of Fr. Kaylor. Fr. Kaylor passed away November 10, 2023. Before his retirement, he served the Crusader family for more than 50 years as a teacher, coach, principal, and president. Donors who give a $25/more gift toward the Fr. Kaylor Memorial Fund will receive a memorial ornament.

To receive your ornaments before Christmas, please make donations before December 18, 9am. All donations from December 18-24 will receive their ornaments after the new year.

To donate visit our online giving platform: Donate to Central Catholic.

Why we are #CrusaderProud:
Day 1: CCHS keeps Christ in Christmas! Our students prepare for the coming of our Lord in a variety of ways, during Advent, including lessons and carols, advent reconciliation, prayer services, Mass, service opportunities, and donations to worthy local causes through-out Stark County.

Day 2: Central Catholic inspires students to be leaders and give back to others! Students develop leadership skills in a variety of ways, including working with younger students through events such as youth nights, athletic clinics, special events, and visiting elementary schools. These events also teach students that the best leaders have care and concern for others.

Day 3: Crusaders serve others! Every student is required to serve the community. Freshmen and sophomores must complete 10 service hours, juniors 15, and seniors 20. However, Crusaders serve well over their required hours. Each year, the student body serves more than double the hours. On average, 18,000 hours of community service is completed by the Crusaders every year!

Day 4: The Crusaders offer a strong and growing arts program. Did you know that CCHS offers more than a dozen arts classes, including graphic design and digital art? We now offer two plays and a spring musical every year. Have you ever visited our Black Box Theatre, which has been updated and will get additional renovations this year? Did you know that our choir program is based in faith practices and is a Liturgical Music Group? Do you know we have marching and concert band, but band members also have opportunities to perform at Masses and worship services? Have you heard about our nationally ranked Speech & Debate Team? Students who are interested in the arts have more opportunities than ever before at CCHS.

Day 5: In a school with smaller class sizes & faith at the center of all that we do, our staff & students can build a deeper relationship with one another. These relations last long past graduation, as classmates are often friends for life, and many, many graduates stay connected to their teachers/coaches, and often drop by to visit.

Day 6: Crusaders experience school differently than others as faith is at the heart of all that we do. We offer a morning Liturgy of the Word Service with Communion each day before school, every morning begins with prayer, course work often intersects with faith, Mass and prayer services are held regularly, athletic and club events begin with prayer, and students have countless opportunities to deepen their faith by serving others. We also offer many opportunities for alumni and friends of Central Catholic to join us in prayer.

Day 7: Our students are active, 60% of them play more than one sport! 99% of our student body is involved in athletics, the arts, or a student organization. Being involved is an important part of getting a well-rounded student experience.

Day 8: The Crusaders encourage student involvement! 99% of our students are active on campus. We offer something for every interest, students even have the ability to start a new club. Small class sizes mean that students don't just go to school and leave, we can find an after-school activity that interests them and keeps them engaged in student life.

Day 9: Crusader students support each other. We might be a small school but our student section is mighty! At Central Catholic, other students know the interests of their classmates and they come out to cheer them on.

Day 10: Coaches who care and are committed to skill development. We are proud to offer 24 athletic teams for our students to enjoy, each program is headed by a coaching staff who know what it means to offer the Crusader Tradition of Excellence and who are focused on offering students a positive experience.

Day 11: Tradition! The Crusaders value our traditions because those traditions bind each class to the ones before and after them. Even a tradition, as simple as pointing to the Tower to sing the Alma Mater.

Day 12: We offer something for every student, no one gets left behind. With more than 50 different student organizations, it's easy for students to find a club that best fits them.

Day 13 of our 24 Days of Giving! Central Catholic is the most beautiful school campus in the county. We continue to invest in our building, opened in 1905, to preserve it and the history found there. Help us continue to take care of Crusader Campus and give a gift of $25/more to receive a personalized ornament.

Day 14: The dedication and knowledge of our faculty & administrators sets us apart. We have staff members who are passionate about their area of study, who volunteer many after-hours to help students succeed, and who get to know students personally.

Day 15: Central Catholic offers academic excellence with test scores above county, state, and national averages! 95% of our students advance to college each year. 5% enter the armed forces or full-time employment. 96% of our seniors are accepted to their college of choice!

Day 16: Crusader staff & students have giving hearts! Our staff and student body have a long history of coming together to do things for others. Crusaders offer 18,000+ hours, on average, each year to serve our local community. They've donated countless food items, blankets, hats, scarves, gloves, coats, school supplies, hygiene products, Christmas gifts, and more! Crusaders give back!

Day 17 of our 24 Days of Giving! Your support, helps us continue our Tradition of Academic Excellence. On average, our graduating seniors receive more than $10 million in scholarship offers each year!

Day 18: Crusaders have spirit! We might be a small school but our student sections know just how to rally our teams. Each class has its own style and celebrates accomplishments in its own way.

Day 19: 91% of our graduates are accepted to their 1st choice college. Our seniors have a 96% acceptance rate to college. We're grateful for the partnership between our families and staff which helps our students achieve their personal best.

Day 20: Crusader alumni remain committed to their alma mater. Our alumni continue to attend events, follow us on social media, and show their support. Once a Crusader, ALWAYS a Crusader.

Day 21: Prayer! We can practice our faith every day, throughout the day. Each day begins with prayer. Every Monday, we say the Pledge of Allegiance. We pray for our Crusader family, our local community, our nation, and our global community.

Day 22: Central Catholic is nurturing future leaders. Not only are we focused on encouraging our students to be leaders, we hope to instill a strong moral compass so that their leadership is Christ-centered in order to make their community a better place.

It is Day 23 of our Holiday 24 Days of Giving! Day 23, we're remembering that the Crusaders build community. We build a community in many ways but perhaps, one of our most impactful ways, is senior retreat. A time honored tradition that connects classmates not just to one another but to the larger Crusader community.

Day 24 of 24: the Crusaders are FAMILY! We've remembered what is special about CCHS over the last 24 days. There are many reasons, but most importantly...being a Crusader means you're part of a family!

Cheer on our Crusaders and offer a gift for our 24 Days of Giving. Remember, anyone who gifts $25 or more gets a personalized ornament. To give a gift, visit: https://tinyurl.com/CCHS24DaysofGiving.
