We love taking field trips! We love it, even more, when our field trips help us to deepen our faith. The SPJ 5th-grade class visited the Central Catholic campus to see the Our Lady of Lourdes Outdoor Grotto earlier this week. CCHS Campus Minister, Deacon Smith, joined the class for Stations of the Cross at their outdoor grotto. Mrs. Miller, the co-chair of their Grotto Committee, gave students a tour and the history of the grotto. It is a beautiful place for worship! Of special note, the 5th graders held a bake sale at school, doing all the work for the sale from start to finish, and raised over $100 to offer as a gift to the CCHS Our Lady of the Lourdes Grotto Committee to help with up-keep of their beautiful space. #FaithMakesADifference #TheSPJWay #SCCSTogetherInFaithExcellenceService
