According to the National Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER), children who attend a high-quality preschool enter kindergarten with better pre-reading skills, richer vocabularies, and stronger basic math skills than those who do not. In a loving, Catholic, family environment, St. Joan of Arc Preschool serves children ages 3-6.
The St. Joan of Arc School Preschool program provides an atmosphere in which young children can work and play together. Learning experiences will be provided to stimulate curiosity, to develop self-confidence and independence, and to provide literacy and other readiness skills needed in preparation for kindergarten.
“Play” is children’s work. Emphasis will be on learning which permanently affects the child’s total development and personality. This includes physical, intellectual and social development as well as the development of self-esteem within each child. Academic skills will be taught in an active, hands-on learning environment. The developmental needs of three-and four- year- olds provide the basis for the preschool curriculum. Call us for a
