Lunch Program

Rules for acceptance and participation in the U.S Department of Agriculture Child Nutrition Programs are the same for all students without regard to race, color, sex, age, handicap, or national origin. Any person who believes he or she has been discriminated against in any USDA-related activity should write to the Secretary of Agriculture, Washington DC, 20250.

* PLEASE NOTE: The Ohio National School Lunch Program is helping to provide free breakfast and lunch for all students for the 2021-2022 school year.
  1. Using the lunch form provided for the month, fill out the days your child/children want lunch.
  2. Turn the form in without money to your homeroom teacher. In October, November, and December repeat the process.
  3. Milk will be provided with lunch at no cost. This year, milk alone is at no cost.

SS. Phillip and James School participates in the federal lunch program in which low-income families can receive milk for their children's lunch at little or no charge. Applications for free lunches will be sent home to all families at the beginning of the school year. If your family qualifies, please promptly return the necessary forms.

Packed lunches may be brought daily with NAMES CLEARLY PRINTED on the box or bag. Do not send/bring carbonated beverages, bottles, or cans. These will be taken away and not returned. Water bottles are permitted. Snacks are available for purchase.

Forgotten lunches should be brought to the school office. If you bring a fast-food lunch, carbonated beverages are not permitted. The lunch monitor will see that your child receives it, as per our safety policy. Do not go to the classroom. It is important that teachers and students are free from distractions during instruction time. Information will be sent home about our lunch program.
