On Monday, April 8th, all schools in our Diocese will be closed due to the total solar eclipse that will be visible in our area. For safety reasons, schools will be closed and all extracurricular activities canceled for the day.

 

The eclipse is expected to occur from approximately 2pm to 4pm, which coincides with school dismissal times. Heavy traffic congestion is expected due to the large number of visitors to our area. There are also concerns about the ability to respond quickly in case of emergencies.

 

We want to provide a safe environment for our students, staff, and community. We will take advantage of educational opportunities in the days leading up to the eclipse.
