Rivals…United in Marriage!

Michael and Sherry, former high school rivals, found love in the heart of downtown Canton. The pair, who met while working in the same building, tied the knot on November 16, 1985.
Michael, a 1977 St. Thomas Aquinas High School graduate, and Sherry, a 1976 Canton Central Catholic High School graduate, have since found humor in their high school rivalry. They realize now that the two schools shared more similarities than they cared to admit during their teenage years.
Sherry's favorite CCHS memory is a toss-up between her work with other classmates as Student Council Treasurer and the experience of senior retreat at Bear Creek.
On the other hand, Michael cherishes two specific memories from his time at STA, the camaraderie and laughter shared on the football field and the lasting friendships forged during high school.
The couple believes that the most valuable aspect of Catholic education is the daily reinforcement of faith, extending beyond Sunday services and holiday celebrations.
Michael and Sherry have raised two sons, Alexander (35) and David (33).
