There are many student organizations and clubs that students can get involved with, in addition to athletics. In fact, 99% of our student body is involved in at least one student organization!
Art Club:
Interested in expressing your creative side? Then join the Crusader Art Club. For more information see senior Lexie Kerr or Mrs. Zahler.
Book Club:
Join the conversation and ignite your imagination by joining the Central Catholic Book Club. The club will meet once a month on Wednesday mornings to share a meal and discuss the book. If you have any questions or concerns, see Natalie Street.
Crusader Comet (Digital News):
Anyone interested in joining Crusader Comet, our digital newspaper & social media news team, should sign up in the Main Office. For students who like to write, take photographs, enjoy graphic design, and who would like to learn to produce social media posts and videos. Students can come up with graphics and video for our digital scoreboards and social media accounts, run live video feeds during games, and run our digital scoreboard. Training is provided. For questions, please see the Comet advisor, Mrs. Cramer, or email her at
[email protected].
Crusaders in the Community:
A service-oriented club. The club hosts our annual Trunk or Treat and helps with Breakfast with Santa. Opportunities are provided for students to participate in service projects in the morning before school, students make cards for shut-ins, craft blankets, and other service-oriented activities. See Mr. Vincente for details.
Esports Ohio:
Welcome to Esports Ohio. This year we will be playing FORTNITE on Tuesday's after school. The competition will be with other Northeastern Ohio schools. If you have questions, contact Mr. Powell at
[email protected]. Our season will begin on September 6 and continue to early November.
Language Clubs:
We have a Spanish Club and a French Club, both organizations are very popular with our student body. The clubs have regular breakfast gatherings, visit restaurants, host parties, have craft nights, and did we mention eat lots of food! For information on the clubs please see Madame Russell for French and Sra Carlson for Spanish.
Liturgical Ministries:
We have a team of students who help with our worship services, and each of them is personally involved with our faith experiences. Students can sign up to be servers, readers, singers, instrumentalists, and communion distributors. Please see Mrs Dick or Deacon Randy for more information.
Liturgical Music Group:
Central Catholic offers something a little different, faith is at the heart of all we do, and music is no exception. Students interested in sharing their musical talents, whether with voice or instrument, are encouraged to join. The choir, or "Liturgical Music Group," performs the music at our worship services and Masses. For more information, please see Mrs. Dick, in room 305.
Pickleball Club:
Students gather off campus to have fun and play! See Mrs. Paulus for more information.
Pre-Health Club:
Are you interested in a career in medicine? If so, Central has a club for you. Our Pre-Health Club will meet with professionals in the health services industry and discuss what it is like to work in the medical field. There will be an informational meeting this Friday, Nov 15, in Mrs. Paulus's room at 7:40 am. Please come if you would like to find out more.
Profit Ninjas:
Central's entrepreneurship club gets together year-round! Students interested in business will experience the real-life practice of creating something of their own and bringing it to the community, making decisions, influencing a brand, and partnering with local businesses for growth. Anyone interested should see Mr. Knore as club activities are underway.
Speech & Debate:
What do Oprah Winfrey, Adam Sandler, Brad Pitt, Bobby Kennedy, and Stephen Colbert all have in common? They all competed in speech and debate in high school. If you like to argue, write, act, discuss politics, and want to participate in an activity that will make you a leader and set you up for a successful future, please see Mrs. Harris in room 208.
Show Choir:
Any student interested in joining our brand-new Show Choir with Mrs. Dowd, please sign up in the main office. Show Choir will take place Tues, Wed, and Thurs. before school from 7:10 am - 7:50 am.
