Athletics:
Last night the girls' basketball team played their first round tournament game at Wellsville and won in convincing fashion by a score of 59-27. The team defense was relentless from start to finish, capped by a massive blocked shot from Jillyan Stevens at the end. Grace Finefrock led the way on both ends of the floor with career highs in points (23) and steals (6). Lily Belden also recorded her career high by scoring 19 points. Sarah Belden tied a career high in assists with 5 while also corralling 6 rebounds. Alicia Varacky joined her on the boards with a team high 7 rebounds. The highlight reel of the night was a perfectly executed alley oop from Emily Schmidt to her sister Sara in the final minutes. Congratulations to these ladies and their teammates. The second-round game is at home this Saturday vs. David Anderson at 1pm. Hope to see you there!!
