Morning Announcements

Friday, May 27
Today’s Exams - Period 5 and 6

Mrs. Patton’s Period 5 class is to report to room 118 today.

Recycling:
Boxes will be in the halls for paper recycling and collection of school supplies--notebooks, folders binders, etc. Please use those and make sure that no trash ends up in them. Don't forget, you can get service hours for helping with recycling after any of the exams if you are able -- see Mrs. Dick.

Service:
Students who need to complete this years’ Service Requirements must do so asap! New lists were posted of students who still need hours. Turn those in immediately once done.

Attention everyone! Starting Tuesday of next week, 5/31, the classroom pages will be updated for you to begin logging your service hours for next year. Your class pages have been updated to show some possible service sites for summer opportunities.

St. Joan of Arc Food Cupboard, can use help on any Monday, 3:30-6:30 (with the exception of Memorial Day and July 4th). See the Google doc to sign up.

Service Opportunity: St. Clement Parish Festival, June 9-11. See GC for more info and a QR code to sign up to help.

"Touch A Truck" event, here at CCHS, to benefit the library. Volunteers are needed from 8:30 am to 2 pm to help. See GC for more info and to sign up.

The Uniform Guy uniform store on Whipple needs help with a Sidewalk Sale fun event on July 22nd and 23rd, from 10 am to 6 pm. See GC for more info and to sign up.

St. Michael Vacation Bible School, July 25th - 28th needs help from 9-11:30 am each of those days. See GC for more info and an email address to sign up.

Stark County Humane Society is once again allowing volunteers. See GC for the requirements to volunteer.

The House of Loreto needs help any day, any hours.

Athletics:

Good Luck to the boys’ track team finishing regionals today and heading to the state meet next week.

Track uniforms MUST be turned in at the Main Office this week!

There will be a meeting for boys interested in playing soccer next year on Thursday, June 2nd at 6:30 in the Community Room. The meeting is for players and their parents. An open field will follow in the stadium until 8:30. Any new players interested in playing next year, please put your name and a contact phone number and email in Coach Downing's mailbox in the main office.

Baking for the Alliance Catholic Worker Meals is still needed for every Monday and Tuesday. One service hour for a dozen or more cookies. Bring in your baked goods in Ziploc freezer bags or containers you don't need back.

St. Clement Parish Festival will be held June 9th-11th. Help is needed in the Family Fun Area where children spend time playing games, getting their faces painted, joining a raffle, and earning prizes. Volunteers are needed to help set up and run carnival games. See GC for

The Stark County Humane Society is once again allowing volunteers. Students under 16 must have parents accompanying them. Students under 18 need a form signed by a parent the first time they go. Orientation for anyone who has never volunteered there before takes place

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament today in the chapel after school from 3-3:30. Come when you can and stay for any amount of time.

On Friday at the Division 3 District Meet, the girls track and field team concluded its season by placing 20th out of 22 teams. The Lady Crusaders were led by Allison Ries who placed 8th in the 1600 meter run.

On Friday at the Division 3 District Meet, the boys track and field team placed 8th out of 18 teams. The Crusaders were led by Max Grillo who won the 800 meter run. Also placing in the top 4 on Friday to advance to the regional meet were: Ian Paul with a 2nd place in the 1600 meter run and the 4x400 meter relay team of Zach Gall-Montgomery, Grady Angerman, Ethan Moorhead, and Max
Grillo who placed 3rd. Additional scoring was contributed by T'Kye Wells who placed 7th in the high jump. Congratulations and good luck to all of our regional qualifiers this week at Perry!
