Tomorrow will be a Spirit Day! Please follow Spirit Day Regulations on page 37 of your Student Handbook.

Frolic: Glow in the Dark Fall Frolic is Saturday, October 15th from 7:00-10:00 pm. Forms for bring someone from a different school to our dance are in the main office. Forms are due to Mrs. Singer by this Friday, October 7th. See Mrs. Paulus if you have any questions. Dance tickets are $10 each and can be purchased on GoFan.co until Friday, October 14th at 12:00 noon. Look for the QR Code on signs around
school.

Community Outreach Day: If you did not turn in your permission slips for the Community Outreach Day, it is a normal school day for you. Students who have signed up for the Community Outreach Day, be on the lookout for an email for details about your location.

Guidance Office:
TOMORROW, October 7th is the PSAT registration deadline - form and money are due.

A representative from University of Cincinnati will be at CCHS today to speak with interested students. You MUST have a permission slip signed by your period teacher in order to attend; slips are available in the Guidance Hallway and Main Office. The meeting will be held in the Chapel.

Liturgical Ministries: Anyone who would like to take part in music ministry and our next all-school Mass next Thursday should see Mrs. Dick today.

Attention Sophomores: The sophomore class is having a diaper donation drive for the diaper bank for the next 2 weeks. The diaper bank is in need of size 4, 5 and pull ups. All donations can be brought to Mrs. Perretta's room 118. Students will earn one service hour total for donating diapers.

Service Opportunities: This Friday is the first Recess of the school year at First Christian Church. For the last couple years, many Central students have helped babysit kids with disabilities in order to give their parents a night off. Volunteers should arrive at 5:30 for food and instructions and the guests will start to arrive at 6:00. The event ends at 9:00. If you are going to volunteer, you need to commit to the entire duration of the event and have a ride there on time at the end. There is a signup sheet in Google Classroom. Please have your parent/guardian fill out the permission form attached to the signup sheet. If you have any questions, contact information for Profe Howie is on the signup sheet.

Athletics:
Bowling open gyms will be held on Friday October 7th and 14th from 3:30 to 5:00. There will not be open gyms on Sunday October 9th and 16th. Open gyms are at Strike Zone Lanes and the cost is $2.00 per game and open to all students interested in joining the bowling team.

The Girls’ Softball team is playing in a winter league at the Hall of Fame Fitness in Canton. Anyone interested in playing, please sign up in the office.

Athletics:
The Boys’ Soccer team defeated St. Thomas 3-1 last night on senior night. Ethan Moorhead scored 2  goals and Bryce Stalnaker scored 1 while Grady Angerman and Vince Peña each had an assist. Max  Russ, Jacob Brown, Jeremiah Watts, Adam Frech and Jacob Sabino played solid defense with Max Held and Aidan Nasvadi controlling the midfield to hold the Knights to 1 goal. Brenden Minarcheck had 7  saves in goal to secure the win. Charlie Van Koughnet gave us the encouragement and motivation on his crutches to make it a wonderful senior night. Thank you to to all the students who came out last night to cheer the team on to victory.

Yesterday the Girls’ Tennis team astounded their competition at sectionals! Our senior doubles partners, Chloe Doll and Schuyler Crumpler are taking it to the next level this Thursday to decide who will move on to Districts. They will be joined by our senior singles player Sarah Grabowsky, who won each of the three matches she played yesterday. Wish them luck in the quarter finals on Thursday!

CCVB went to a close 5 sets with Lake last night. Leading stats: aces- Maddie Heiser 5 and Josey  Stevens 4, kills- Lauren Neisel 15, Maddie Heiser 11, and Emma Bourquin 10, blocks- Maddie  Heiser 3 and Paige Watters 2, assists- Sydney Turner 40, digs- Gracyn Clark 34, Sydney Turner 15,  and Lauren Neisel 14.  

CCVB raised $3,385 last night at the Dig for a Cure event! 100% of the proceeds will be donated to  Little Pink Ribbon Girl Foundation. The Little Pink Ribbon Girl Foundation helps families with any type of cancer for both men and women. Thank you to all that helped put this event together.

Hey, Central Catholic lets wish our Defending District Champions KRISTEN BELDEN, CAROLINE  HAROLD, SARA COLUCY and our new Freshman addition to the team ADDISON REY, GOOD  LUCK this week as they return to compete in the 2022 OHSAA Girls District Golf Tournament at  Sable Creek tomorrow. GOOD LUCK LADY's and keep it Rollin.

The Boys’ Soccer team will be hosting St. Thomas tonight at 7:00. Prior to the game, we will be recognizing our seniors: Grady Angerman, Brenden Minarcheck, Ethan Moorhead, Max Russ, and  Charlie Van Koughnet. After the 6:40 ceremony, stick around and support the seniors and the rest of the team as they battle the Knights. Coach Downing wants to thank all those who have supported the team this year! Your support is greatly appreciated.

Campus Ministry:  We will have Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the chapel after school TODAY from 3-3:30.  You can stop in anytime. A great way to spend a little extra time in quiet prayer!

Athletics:
CCVB had a close game against Norton Saturday. Leading stats: Maddie Heiser 2 aces, 13 kills, 4  blocks, Lauren Neisel 14 kills, 10 digs, Paige Watters 6 blocks, 6 kills, Sydney Turner 37 assists and  11 digs, and Gracyn Clark 21 digs.

On Saturday at the Stark County Championships, the Boys’ Cross Country team placed 13th, 6th in D2/3.  Leading the Crusaders were Luke Vlacovsky, Dom DePasquale, Grant Eberhardt, Carlos Cantera Quintero, Ben Reese, Nick Hallaman, and Easton Miller. The Girls’ Cross Country team placed 12th, 5th in D2/3. Leading the girls were Allison Ries, Analisa Manson, Georgia Bentzel, Gracen Competty,  Lilly Bentzel, Lauren Halas, and Elise Faltay. Good Luck this Saturday at the Tuslaw Invitational at  Nickajack Farms.
