Morning Announcements

~ Today we are on PM Liturgy Schedule.
 
~ The PSAT will be given this morning to all sophomores and juniors who signed up. Please report to the gym after announcements with pencils and your calculator. Mr. Lindesmith’s 3rd & 4th period students NOT taking the PSAT are to report to study hall.

~ Attention Boy Scouts:
Any Boy Scout looking for an Eagle Scout Project stop by the main office to see Mr. Paul.
 
~ Guidance Office:
A representative from Ohio Dominican will be here today, October 16th at 10:15AM to speak with interested students. You MUST have a permission slip signed by your 5th period teacher in order to attend. These slips are available in the Guidance Hallway and Main Office. The meeting will be held in the Guidance Lab.
 
~ Model UN:
Does taking on a role of ambassadors from various countries and debating current issues sound 0interesting to you? Then join Model UN! Stop by Miss Sharnsky’s room to sign up in room 218.
 
~ Spanish:
Central Catholic students have an exciting opportunity to travel internationally to Madrid and London in April 2021! This educational tour is open to Central Catholic students and their families. There is a $200 discount available for anyone who signs up prior to 10/23/19. All students interested in joining us in 2021 should see Sra Carlson in room 302 for additional information.
 
~ Community News:
Stark County Library is having a featured book author on October 30th at 6:30pm. Author David Sheff will have a question-answer session about his book, Beautiful Boy and his family's journey in helping his son overcome drug addiction. This event will take place at the Palace Theatre.
 
~ Crusaders for the Community:
Volunteers are needed on Saturday, November 9th 5:30-9:30PM for “The Men Who Cook” event. Service hours are available. There is a sign-up sheet in the main office, please sign up by this Friday, October 18th. For more information, see Mr. PJ Chavez.

The Perry Sippo Library needs volunteers to help set-up before a book sale on Friday, October 18th from 3:15 - 5:00 and/or tear down after the book sale on Saturday, October 19th from 2:00 - 3:30. Service hours are available. See Mrs. Dick in room 305 to sign up. Students can volunteer for either or both times.
 
Service Opportunity: St. Paul’s in North Canton is looking for students who would be available to help with babysitting any Sunday morning during the 9:00AM Mass. Service hours are available; see Mrs. Dick in room 305 to sign up.

~ Athletics:
Boys’ Soccer defeated Tuslaw 11 – 0. Goals by Christian Harris, Paul Thorp, Josh Finefrock, two goals each by Zach Leatherman, Aidan Winkhart and Jaden Minarcheck. Great Job!
 
Friday morning at 8:00AM students interested in Lacrosse will have a meeting with the new coach in the gym balcony after announcements.
 
Tickets for Friday’s game on are on the sale in the Main Office. Student tickets are $5 and adult tickets are $7.

~ All of Mrs. Zahler’s classes are to go to study hall today. Mrs. Harris’ period 2 please report to Room 116, Mrs. Perretta.

At the Cross Country Crusader Invitational on Saturday the boys’ team finished first. Top finishers for the Crusaders were Barrett Scheatzle, Ian Paul, Blake Abbott, Sean Domer, Ian Elson, Max Grillo, Jimmy McClain. Good luck at Districts this Saturday.
