- Any female student who is interested in participating in this year's Hall of Fame Pageant is asked to please pick up an informational packet in the Attendance office. The application is also online. There will be an information session for anyone thinking about participating on Saturday, February 22 at the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce.
 
- LAST DAY! Want to say something to that special someone but don't know quite how to say it? Send them a Valentine!!! Valentines will be on sale TODAY at lunch. Buy 1 for 50 cents or 3 for a dollar. Get yours today!!
 
- Spanish:
Central Catholic students have an exciting opportunity to travel internationally to Madrid and London in April 2021! This educational tour is open to all Central Catholic students and their families. You are not required to be enrolled in a language to sign up for this tour. There is a $150 discount available for anyone who signs up prior to 2/29/2020. All students interested in joining us in 2021 should see Sra Carlson in room 302 for discount codes and signup information.

Who's up for a little competition? Student Council is hosting a volleyball tournament on Saturday, March 7th. Start getting your teams of 4 together now! The cost is $5.00 per person and the winning team will receive a prize. More information and signups are on Google Classroom. See Ms. Sharnsky if you have any questions.

Service Opportunity - Habitat ReStore on Raff Rd., Saturday, February 15, 2020 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Sign up and see more info in Google Classroom. Service hours available.
 
Ongoing Service Opportunities - Don't forget that service hours are due at the end of this quarter! Keep checking Google Classroom for info on various service opportunities and signup sheets. In addition to opportunities for a specific day and time we have several ongoing service opportunities such as the St. Joan of Arc food cupboard on Mondays, and the House of Loreto any day. More details for all of these are on Google Classroom.

American Heart Association - Did you know that vaping can cause chronic bronchitis, insulin resistance, high blood pressure, nicotine addiction, cancer, lung disease, or heart disease? Avoid smoking or vaping to reduce your risk factors! And don't forget to sign up for the American Heart Association 3 on 3 basketball fund-raiser on Sunday, February 16th at 1:00 p.m. Admission price for players and spectators is $5.00 to benefit the work of the American Heart Association. We will be having a bake sale during the games, anyone who would like to bake can receive 1 (one) service
hour. Let's make this event both fun and healthy! Sign up on Google Classroom. Plan to come and watch the fun!

    - Athletics:

    Swim Team swam at the Sectional Meet on Friday; girls’ team finished 9th out of 40 teams and the boy’s team finished 13th out of 40 teams. Heading to Districts this Friday in an individual event are Jack Belden, Andy Kurtz, Kristen Belden and Morgan Phillips. Relays swimmers heading to Districts are Maddie Grillo, Sophia Dimos, Jaden Minarcheck, Ethan Moorehead, Brenden Minarcheck, and Isabella Davis. Good luck on Friday!

    The Varsity bowling teams bowled in the Sectional Tournament yesterday at Stonehedge Lanes in Akron. Congratulations to the Boys team on finishing 3rd at Sectionals and advancing to Districts. The team bowled 3 individual games and 6 Baker system games knocking down 3,594 pins. This is the first Central bowling team to advance to Districts. The team consists of Seniors Bryce Schilling, PJ Kasapis, and Ethan Gawlak, and Juniors Wyatt Ehret, Jac Compton, Jacob Barbuto and Michael Lalonde. The team was led by Wyatt Ehret with a 3 game series of 590. The Girls Varsity team finished 11th out of 15 teams. The team was led by Alina Stebbins with a 3 game series of 454, narrowly missing advancing to Districts by only 22 pins. Good luck to the Boys team at Districts this Sunday at Nautica Lanes in Avon Lake.
