Congratulations to Mrs. Morrison! She was chosen as the veteran Stark County Teacher of the Year for Western Parochial Schools! Yesterday evening (Tuesday, April 25), she was recognized at a county-side reception and named to the 2023 All-County Teaching Team.
Mrs. Morrison has been part of the Central Catholic family for more than 30 years, as a teacher and as a parent.
She teaches Government, Career Exploration, Psychology, and Relationships, Marriage and Family Life. Among the many things she volunteers to do for the Crusaders; she encourages students to work election polls, serve the League of Women Voters, register to vote, and attend Rotary programs.
Her classes include visits to the Stark County Courthouse and Jail and on-campus visits from leaders in the community, as well as alumni who are experts in their career fields. Her teaching is instrumental in encouraging our students to be civically engaged. Mrs. Morrison is one of the members of our faculty responsible for the outstanding reputation our graduates have in the community.
