Current Crusaders serve and connect with Future Crusaders

On Thursday of last week, cast members from the fall play at CCHS and STA visited St. Paul Catholic School to celebrate their cast and crew from Lion King, Kids. Two leading cast members of each of the high school fall productions volunteered part of their day to help St. Paul's "drama moms" create ice cream sundaes for students during lunch, as part of the program's Lion King Week.

Crusaders Luca Donadeo & Natalie Street, two of the main character's in the Central Catholic fall production of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, had a great time scooping up ice cream sundaes, talking to SPS students, and connecting with the young thespians from St. Paul who they hope will someday perform on the same stage that they do!

This visit is one of the many trips our students and staff take on a regular basis to help and visit our elementary partner schools. Our students and staff serve the families and staff at our Stark County Catholic Elementary Schools in a number of ways such as volunteering for lunch and recess duty, hosting students for special elementary athletic nights right on campus, hosting a 5th-8th grade social, going to schools to read with young students, teaching lessons in Spanish, having special events such as Trunk or Treat, an annual Christmas movie, and their Easter egg hunt, just to name a few! Service to others and demonstrating strong character to younger students are all part of being a Crusader!
