Congratulations to Crusader graduate, Brock Janowicz (Class of 2020), who was the Great Midwest Athlete of the Week! Brock is on Ashland University's Track & Field Team.

Brock Janowicz didn't waste any time in earning a Great Midwest Athletic Conference award in 2022-23.
The sophomore thrower is No. 2 in NCAA Division II in the men's weight throw following Friday's (Dec. 2) action at Findlay's Oiler Opener, and his efforts there earned him Great Midwest Men's Field Athlete of the Week honors on Monday (Dec. 5) afternoon.
At Findlay, Janowicz not only won on the men's weight throw at 19.44 meters/63-feet-9½, but earned a nationals provisional mark in the process. The 2023 NCAA Division II Indoor Championships are March 10-11 in Virginia Beach, Va.
It is Janowicz's first career Great Midwest award following his collegiate-best throw.
Ashland's men and women will return to competition on Jan. 13 at the Hillsdale Triangular.
