Mr. Powell was surprised with a special honor at our annual Awards Assembly this year. Each year, the Foreign Language Department recognizes students who have maintained a semester average of "A" in our Spanish, French, or Latin course offerings for four years. From this point forward that award will be named in honor of Mr. Kevin Powell, who in his 37 years as a Latin Teacher, established a standard of excellence in the Foreign Language Department. Mr. Powell retired from classroom teaching last year but has remained true to the Crusaders, helping with our AV and tech needs. Congratulations, Mr. Powell, a Crusader for life!
