Senior Barrett Scheatzle finishes second in 16:31.3 to lead Crusaders.

Central Catholic placed three runners in the top 10 and took first place during Thursday’s Division III boys race of the Boardman Invitational, topping second-place East Canton 50-76 in the 16-team field.

Central senior Barrett Scheatzle finished second individually with a time of 16:31.3. Junior Ian Paul was fourth at 17:12.4, while senior Blake Abbott was ninth at 17:30.4 for the Crusaders.

Senior Alex Yarian led East Canton with a seventh-place finish in 17:30.2.

McDonald senior Brody Rupe was first with a time of 16.29.9.

The Division I and II races will take place Saturday.
