JC Colangelo, Central Catholic, OF, 2016
Starter on 2015 state championship team and 2016 regional semifinalist. ... Second team All-Ohio as a senior. Batted .447 with 14 stolen bases while not committing an error in CF. ... Batted .303 with 18 steals and 26 runs as a junior. ... On same day, finished second in the 100 meters at state track meet before going 2-for-3 with a run in Central baseball’s 2015 state championship game win against Cincinnati Summit Country Day. ... Ran sprints at Princeton.
 
Alex Grove, Central Catholic, C, 2011
Starter at catcher for three straight district championship teams and 2011 state championship team. ... Switch hitter batted .343 with six doubles and 26 RBIs as a senior, striking out twice in 105 ABs. ... Drove in 25 runs as a junior. ... Four-year starter at Heidelberg and three-time All-OAC honoree, including first team as a junior when he batted .324 and drove in 37 runs.
 
Patrick Murphy, Central Catholic, OF-P, 2015
Second team All-Ohio and Division III-IV Northeast District Player of the Year as a senior when he went 9-1 with a 0.90 ERA and struck out 90 batters in 62 innings. Also drove in 20 runs and drew 31 walks. ... Led Central to 2015 state championship, earning the win in the semifinal and the save in the final. ... Batted .446 and went 7-1 with a 0.92 ERA in 2014. ... Marshall recruit. Went 4-3 with a 1.67 ERA as a freshman in 2016. Went 2-1 with a 2.95 ERA out of the bullpen in 2019 after working back from injury. ... Pitched for Ohio State in 2020 as a grad transfer.
 
Joe Tann, Central Catholic, INF-P, 2011
Set Central single-season records in wins and strikeouts when he went 11-3 with a 1.14 ERA as a senior. Totaled 10 complete games in 16 appearances. Struck out 136 batters in 86 innings. Also batted .393 with 24 RBIs... Earned the win in all four of Central’s regional and state games en route to the 2011 championship. Threw 140 pitches in a complete-game state semifinal win, then came back two days later to throw 59 more in the final. ... Honorable mention All-Ohio. ... Walsh recruit who went 2-1 with a 3.56 ERA as a senior in 2015.
 
Jake Vance, Central Catholic, INF-P, 2016
Four-year varsity letterman who is tied for the most career wins (25) in Central history despite missing part of senior season because of suspension. One of those wins was the 2015 state championship game. ... . Went 8-1 with a 1.34 ERA and 86 strikeouts in 68 innings as a junior. ... Went 8-2 with a 1.36 ERA and 75 strikeouts in 2014. ... Ohio State recruit who has gone 6-8 with a 5.60 ERA in 38 career appearances and earned Academic All-Big Ten twice.
