Scholarship Granting Organization - Tax Credit

As a result of legislation passed in 2021, Ohio taxpayers who wish to support Catholic education in Ohio now have the opportunity to receive a tax credit for their donations.

Gifts, of up to $750 per individual, made to certified organizations that grant scholarships to K-12 students, can be claimed as tax credits on the state of Ohio tax forms.

Giving a gift to a Student Granting Organization (SGO) will allow interested donors to reduce their Ohio income tax liability on a dollar-for-dollar basis up to $750 per person per year ($1,500 if married filing jointly) by providing donors with a tax credit against their Ohio income tax liability.

St. Thomas Aquinas has partnered with two Scholarship Granting Organizations to help make giving easier for our donors. Donations to our SGOs earmarked for Aquinas will help us continue to make a Catholic education affordable for all families. We appreciate the support of our community as we continue our legacy of excellence!

To donate to one of our partner Scholarship Granting Organizations, please select the SGO you prefer to donate through:
The Good Samaritan Scholarship Fund – An SGO established by the Diocese of Youngstown. Donations to the Good Samaritan Scholarship Fund will be utilized to award scholarships to students attending Catholic schools in the Diocese of Youngstown with a priority to support low-income families that seek high-quality educational opportunities for their children. Donations may be designated to support St. Thomas Aquinas by using the dropdown box.
