St. Thomas Aquinas Community Celebrates Ash Wednesday

On February 22 we celebrated Ash Wednesday, which marked the start of Lent for Roman Catholics, as well as being celebrated by many Christians across the western world. Our students enjoyed a Liturgy of the Word during their Theology classes in the School Chapel. Over the next 40 days, we embark on a Lenten journey of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, as we prepare to honor the resurrection of Christ on Easter Sunday, the most significant celebration of our faith.

Throughout this journey, we will have Friday Lenten devotionals, and we will come together for an all-school Mass on Wednesday, March 1. Furthermore, we plan to gather for Mass again in the week leading up to Easter. As a school community, we value these moments to celebrate and enjoy our shared faith.
